A small, dedicated group of volunteers at SAVE, A Friend to Homeless Animals, are sponsoring the adoption of adult cats they chose and nicknamed the “Sweet Sixteen”. The cats have been sheltered at SAVE, on average for a year, and deserve loving homes.
The volunteers have personally donated the funds to allow sixteen cats to find forever homes without an adoption fee. They recognize that people flock toward cute little kittens, making it difficult for older cats to find new homes. Each of the special “Sweet Sixteen” adult cats have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, and are current on all vaccinations. Great reasons to adopt an adult cat:
If you have been considering adopting a cat, take the plunge and consider one of the sweet adult cats the SAVE volunteers are sponsoring and be part of the solution for homeless cats. Only the adoption fee is waived: all other adoption policies remain in effect. Adopters must meet the criteria that apply to all other adoptions from SAVE.
CJ aka Cracker Jack
Age 5, CJ arrived on January 20, 2014. He is a sweet, happy, loving cat. This little lad has been through so much, yet nothing has broken his spirit. He was thrown from a second floor window, lost the use of his back legs, broke his tail, and survived a year outdoors until being rescued. He has regained the movement of his legs. He runs, plays, and chases balls and fuzzy animals with much determination. He enjoys life as much as he can. He doesn’t play well with other cats, so he needs to be an only kitty. CJ is very easy to handle and will let anyone pick him up for cuddles. He has a unique way of showing his affection. He is on a special diet and requires daily meds (for food allergies) to keep him healthy. He is worth the extra TLC. CJ is sure to be the best kitty anyone could ask for! This cutie deserves to be cherished in a loving home.
Catarina: Age 2, arrived in February of 2015. Catarina is a sweet, independent calico kitty who loves affection. When the shelter becomes stressful for her, cattitude may surface, but she is friendly and doesn’t demand a whole lot. She likes a comfortable spot where she can relax by one’s side and be loved. She would do best as an only kitty.
Pamela: Age 2, arrived in August of 2015. Pamela is a gorgeous, sweet, quiet, and independent calico kitty. The shelter is stressful for her so at times she will display some cattitude. Otherwise, she is affectionate, loves people, and gets along with other cats.
Porsche: Age 4, arrived in October of 2015. Porsche is a sweet cat who adores and needs affection. She is all love and cuddles, yet it is hard to see her true personality shine through due to the stresses of a shelter environment. She is a cat lover’s dream. She needs a kind and patient person that will give her a chance to demonstrate her true colors.
