Meet Beaver: Who will now provide his official statement on outdoor living "Hello. My name is Beaver, and I'd like to formally retract every decision I made that led people to believe I wanted to be an outdoor cat. You see, when I first arrived at the shelter after my owner passed away, I was a little... rough around the edges. I looked like I knew what I was doing outside. I carried myself with confidence. I gave off strong "I pay taxes in the forest" energy. So the humans said, "Ah yes, a community cat!" and sent me back out. This was, in hindsight, a terrible misunderstanding. Not long after, I returned and basically filed an official complaint. "Excuse me. I have reviewed the available housing options, and I'd like to request the one with climate control, unlimited snacks, and people whose sole purpose is to scratch my head." Since then, I've become an indoor enthusiast. These days you'll find me supervising petting sessions, carrying on lengthy conversations about absolutely nothing, making professional-level biscuits, and perfecting the art of cozy lounging. I'm affectionate, sweet, and always happy to let you know exactly how my day is going. (Spoiler: it usually involves wanting more pets.) I've sampled both lifestyles now. I've done the whole "living off the land" thing. Frankly, I don't understand the hype. There are bugs. Weather. A shocking lack of blankets. So if you're looking for a cat who's already conducted extensive field research and can confidently say that indoor life is superior, I'm your guy. I'm not asking for much-just a comfy bed, a warm lap, a few snacks, and someone willing to listen to my daily commentary. Trust me. I've been outside. I'm never making that mistake again.
