Meet Mayhem: He's got trust issues. You've got treats. Let's negotiate. Mayhem may sound like the kind of kitten who spends his days plotting world domination, but the truth is...the biggest thing he's terrorizing right now is his own comfort zone. Born on the streets, shelter life has been a pretty big adjustment for this handsome little house panther. Everything is new, everything is a little overwhelming, and Mayhem is still figuring out that humans aren't so bad after all. He's not the type to march up demanding attention just yet, but if you give him the time and patience he needs, he's open to making friends at his own pace. Once he starts to relax, his kitten side begins to shine. Toys become much more interesting, curiosity starts to win out over caution, and you get little glimpses of the playful boy hiding behind those cautious eyes. Mayhem is currently with one of his littermates and would likely thrive in a home with a confident, social cat who can show him that couches are for lounging, toys are for pouncing, and humans are excellent providers of snacks and chin scratches. A feline role model could make all the difference as he learns the ropes of indoor life. Mayhem isn't looking for someone who expects the perfect kitten on day one. He's looking for someone who understands that the best transformations don't happen overnight. With patience, kindness, and a little faith, this former street kid has every chance of growing into an amazing companion.
