Meet Mona: From Alley Cat To Aristocrat. Mona is 12 years young, which in Persian years translates to "I've earned the right to have opinions." And opinions she has. When Mona first arrived, she was convinced that everyone was beneath her. She was shy, cranky, and had perfected the art of the judgmental glare. To be fair, she'd been through a lot. She came to us in pretty rough shape after spending who-knows-how-long surviving outside, and she understandably wasn't interested in making friends. Then she got the spa treatment. A little veterinary TLC, a comfy bed, regular meals, and suddenly Mona remembered she actually likes people...provided they understand the terms of her contract. Now she's a delightfully chatty little lady who chirps, trills, and carries on full conversations while demanding premium cheek and chin scratches. She'll happily tell you all about her day, your day, and whatever bird she just spotted outside the window. Of course, social hour only happens between her two greatest passions: napping HARD and rolling around in catnip like she's just won the lottery. Seriously, if catnip were an extreme sport, Mona would be a sponsored athlete. These days, Mona is looking for a retirement home worthy of her newfound appreciation for the finer things in life: soft beds, sunny windows, tasty meals, and humans willing to admire her. She's already survived the hard part. Now she's ready for the easy part - a home where she can spend her golden years being adored, taking dramatic naps, and reminding everyone that every queen deserves her castle.
