Meet Lacoste: Inventor Of The Famous "Zoom and Sploot." Some dogs are mysterious. Some dogs are elegant. Some dogs possess an air of quiet dignity. Lala looked at all of that and said, "Yeah I'm not doing any of that...PET M E ." Officially, her name is Lacoste, but around here she's affectionately known as Lala, mostly because by the time you've finished saying "Lacoste," she's already shoved her entire head under your armpit demanding attention. Lala came to us from another shelter, and while we're grateful she's here, she's made one thing abundantly clear: your hands should never be idle. If you stop petting her, she'll launch an impressive campaign to change your mind. She'll snort. She'll grunt. She'll stare deep into your soul. She may even gently nudge your elbow as if to say, "Excuse me...I believe there has been a terrible administrative error involving my butt scratches." When she's not artfully lobbying for affection, Lala enjoys brief-but spectacular-bursts of zoomies. She'll tear around the yard at approximately 47 miles per hour for a solid 14 seconds before dramatically slamming on the brakes, flopping onto the ground like someone unplugged her batteries, and silently announcing, "Okay. That's enough exercise for today." She's basically a weighted blanket with legs. Soft. Squishy. Ridiculously lovable. Her dream life involves a comfy couch, a human with functioning fingernails, and an unlimited supply of butt scratches.
