Meet Max: The Little Guy Who Wants to Be Your Shadow Max may be a little guy, but he has a very big love for his people. This adorable Shih Tzu mix is happiest when he's right by your side-or, even better, curled up in your lap. If there's a cuddle to be had, Max would like to formally volunteer. Max is the kind of dog who wants to be involved in whatever you're doing. Whether you're relaxing on the couch, taking a stroll, or simply going about your day, Max is happiest when his favorite person is nearby. He's affectionate, easygoing, and has perfected the art of making himself comfortable wherever you happen to be. Max previously lived with another Shih Tzu mix, Nuna, and the two have done wonderfully since being separated. They could certainly be adopted together if the right home came along, but we've found that both dogs are perfectly happy and confident on their own, so there is no requirement that they go home together. Max is also good with both dogs and cats, making him a nice fit for a home with other furry companions. He's very well-mannered on a leash and enjoys getting out for walks, although those little legs mean he isn't exactly training for a marathon. Max is much more interested in leisurely adventures followed by some quality couch time anyway.
