About Olaf
Olaf is a little black kitten with a big case of the scaredy-cats. When he first arrived, he made sure the medical team knew he was NOT interested in making friends. But with time, patience, and some much-needed breathing room, he's slowly starting to let his guard down with shelter staff. Turns out, there's a little more to this boy than his tough-guy routine!
Here's the important thing to know about Olaf: he isn't mean, nasty, or looking for trouble. He's scared. The world is a big, overwhelming place when you're a little guy who hasn't quite figured out that people can be trusted. Olaf needs a home that understands the difference between a cat who's being difficult and a cat who's asking for space the only way he knows how.
Olaf is looking for a cat-savvy adopter who appreciates a project kitty and understands that trust isn't built overnight. He'll need a quiet environment, a predictable routine, and someone willing to let him set the pace. No rushing, no forcing friendships, and no taking his initial skepticism personally! For the right person, watching Olaf slowly discover that he's safe and loved could be an incredibly rewarding experience.
Olaf came to us with another cat, so a feline roommate might be in the cards with the right match. A confident, socially appropriate cat who respects boundaries could potentially help him settle in, though slow introductions and a thoughtful approach will be essential.
Olaf may not be the kitten who runs up to greet you on day one, but he's got a whole personality waiting to be discovered beneath that defensive exterior. If you've got a soft spot for the shy ones, a little extra patience to spare, and the heart to let a scared kitten blossom on his own terms, Olaf might just be your guy. 🖤
