Meet Chicken: Not the Bird, But the Dog. Yes, her name is Chicken. No, she's not a chicken. She just happens to believe that chicken is one of dogkind's greatest achievements. Rotisserie? Grilled? Baked? If it's chicken, she's interested. We respect her commitment to the craft. This adorable little pocket pittie is the perfect size for adventures without taking up the entire couch (although she'd certainly appreciate being invited onto it). Chicken loves a good walk and is an absolute delight on leash. Chicken is a wonderful little ball of joy and happiness, and somehow she's managed to fit an impressive amount of good manners into that little body. She's polite, eager to please, easily trainable, non-destructive, and an absolute sweetheart. She loves being part of the action and hanging out near her humans (and other furry companions), but she's not the type who needs to be glued to your side every second. She's perfectly happy relaxing nearby with a chew toy while you work or go about your day. Of course, Chicken enjoys all the important things in life: cuddles, tummy rubs, butt scratches, games of tug or chase, and tossing a ball around. She's also fully house trained and already knows "sit" and "come" while working on more commands with her foster family. She genuinely enjoys her training sessions and is always ready to learn what you'd like to teach her. Chicken would love a canine companion in her forever home. She enjoys having another dog around to show her the ropes, although she's also perfectly happy being your one and only. A fenced backyard where she could safely chase squirrels would be her absolute dream. She's overall a quiet girl who knows how to relax and enjoy the peaceful moments, too. And then there's Chicken's love of food. She LOVES her meals, but she's a perfect little lady about it. Her excited little taps when she knows food is coming-without jumping or begging-are ridiculously adorable. And when she gets a little too excited, she has the cutest solution: she runs to grab her favorite stuffed animal and uses it as a pacifier until she settles down. Honestly, Chicken has better emotional regulation skills than some of us! Chicken is good with children, does well with strangers and new people in the house, and is also fine with cats. She can be a little cautious for a moment when meeting someone new, but she quickly warms up and then makes it very clear that she'd like all the pets, please.
